Installation

Stable release

To install FastCCD Support IOC, run this command in your terminal:

$ pip install fastccd_support_ioc

This is the preferred method to install FastCCD Support IOC, as it will always install the most recent stable release.

If you don’t have pip installed, this Python installation guide can guide you through the process.

From sources

The sources for FastCCD Support IOC can be downloaded from the Github repo.

You can either clone the public repository:

$ git clone git://github.com/ronpandolfi/fastccd_support_ioc

Or download the tarball:

$ curl -OJL https://github.com/ronpandolfi/fastccd_support_ioc/tarball/master

Once you have a copy of the source, you can install it with:

$ pip install -e .

Usage

To launch this IOC, there is an entrypoint installed at setup.

fastccd_support_ioc --list-pvs

At COSMIC-Scattering, this IOC is already deployed as a service, and must be stopped before starting a new instance to avoid cross-talk.

systemctl stop fastccd_support_ioc.service

The following PVs are included under the PV group named “fccd_support_ioc”:

  • fccd_support_ioc:state

  • fccd_support_ioc:initialize

  • fccd_support_ioc:shutdown
